New Act Announced for Winterfest Music Festival!

LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL—Country music sensation Thompson Square has just been added to the lineup for Winterfest 2015, joining the Doobie Brothers, War, Sam Woolf and Les Sabler.

Thompson Square, composed of husband and wife combo Keifer and Shawna Thompson, put their 13-year marriage on display in each song, and night after night, on tour. Their sophomore album, “Just Feels Good,” is a compelling view of a relationship that offers no distinction between the personal and the professional.

Thompson Square’s self-titled debut was powered by a trio of hit singles including the No. 1 double-platinum-selling “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” as well as “I Got You,” and “Glass.” Thompson Square swept the 2012 Vocal Duo awards (CMA, ACM, CMT, ACA). “Kiss” was the most-heard song at country radio in 2011 (Mediabase), and secured multiple-week runs atop the sales and ringtone charts as well as two Grammy nominations. Major media (Leno, Kimmel, Conan and more) and major tours (Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan) put them in front of tens of millions of viewers and two million concert goers. Thompson Square is also the only established married duo to ever receive CMA Vocal Duo of the Year honors. Keifer and Shawna Thompson’s hot streak continued when they won the ACM Vocal Duo of the Year honors for the second consecutive year in April 2013.

Shawna and Keifer have credits on six of the album’s 13 songs, including the first single “If I Didn’t Have You,” already their fastest selling (and rising) to date. That song’s message of a big, even universal, love is echoed in postcard-picture “Maybe It’s You,” and the rhythmic, who-out-kicked-who debate of “For The Life Of Me.”

Winterfest will be held Feb. 28 at Lakewood Ranch’s Premier Sports Campus on Post Road in Lakewood Ranch. Gates open at noon and the music starts at 1 p.m. Festival-goers should bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.

Winterfest will offer food and drink for purchase from various vendors, as well as an artisan village. VIP tickets are available for purchase, which include food, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and air-conditioned restrooms for the duration of the event. Winterfest is a family-friendly event: The Kids’ Zone – an area for children to be entertained away from the main stage – will feature crafts, activities and kids-only food.

Tickets are on sale now; pricing (which includes parking) ranges from $30 to $125. The concert will be held rain or shine. No refunds will be issued.

Festival organizer Antonio Saviano says he is excited about how the lineup come together for the event.

“This year’s headliners range from one of the most successful rock bands of the 70s to today’s top country stars – Thompson Square. We are thrilled to have them perform at our annual Winterfest next month,” Saviano said.

“We are also really excited to have the support of the local business community,” Saviano continued. “The great musical acts, the sponsors and the festival goers are going to make this an incredible experience for everyone!”
